Privacy Policy

Reedley Residents Directory is a small reference service. This policy explains the limited information involved when someone reads the pages, uses a search box, or sends a message. The public records and library collections described for Reedley remain under the control of Fresno County, California agencies, the City of Reedley, or the relevant library and archive. They are not records held by this service.

Information You Submit

Search terms entered into the name, phone, or address widgets are sent to the third-party provider that powers the results. Reedley Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches in its own content system. If you contact the operators, the message contains the name, address, and other details you choose to include. That information is used to read and answer the inquiry.

Ordinary Technical Logs

Hosting providers commonly record an IP address, browser type, requested page, referring page, and timestamp. Those server logs help maintain security, diagnose broken links, and understand page use in aggregate. Basic cookies or similar tools may support analytics or, where present, advertising measurement. The operators do not use the Reedley public-record pages to create an official resident file.

How the Information Is Used

Information supplied in a message is used to respond, maintain the service, address abuse, or meet a legal obligation. Technical data is used for security, availability, and broad usage measurement. Search-provider handling is governed by that provider’s own privacy notice and terms. Do not enter sensitive personal information into a search widget unless the provider’s terms make that submission appropriate.

Links to Custodian Sites

Pages link to the Fresno County Recorder, Assessor, Clerk/Registrar, Superior Court, Fresno DPH, City of Reedley, California Secretary of State, CDPH, USPS, and Fresno County Library. Those destinations can set their own cookies, collect their own logs, and apply their own policies. A link does not transfer responsibility for a record or make the linked office part of Reedley Residents Directory.

Who May Receive Information

Hosting, security, analytics, advertising, and search providers may process the limited technical or form data needed for their services. Information may also be disclosed when a valid legal process requires it, to protect the service, or to address fraud or abuse. The operators do not sell a government roll or library collection, and public records held by Fresno County or California remain under their custodians’ rules.

Security and Retention

Reasonable operational safeguards are used for the small amount of information handled directly. No online system is guaranteed to be secure. Messages and ordinary logs are retained only as long as needed for response, security, business operations, or legal compliance, subject to hosting and provider retention rules. The service does not promise a particular deletion interval for a third-party search provider.

Children Under 18

The service is intended for general reference and is not directed at children under 18. Please do not submit a child’s personal details through a message or search widget. If a parent or guardian believes that information was sent directly to the operators, use the Contact page so the issue can be reviewed.

California Privacy Choices

California’s Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code §1798.100 et seq., can provide covered consumers rights to know, delete subject to exceptions, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive-information uses, and receive equal treatment. The California Delete Act and DROP provide a broker-deletion route for registered brokers; the final rules took effect January 1, 2026, with recurring retrieval beginning August 1, 2026. Those rules do not erase the Fresno Recorder, court, Assessor, voter, or other government source record.

To ask what Reedley Residents Directory directly holds, request deletion, or raise a correction concern, use the Contact page and describe the request. A verifiable request may be needed. Requests about a Fresno County or California record must go to the custodian that created it.

Updates to This Policy

This policy may change when the service, providers, or California privacy rules change. The revised wording becomes effective when posted. The page should be checked before a new search or message if privacy handling is important.
